Glycerine is used to help retain moisture in foods, keep items soft, and help to prevent sugar crystallization in foods like candy. Use vegetable glycerine in royal icing to add shine, and prevent hardening.
It is also an outstanding moisturizer and skin cleanser suitable for soap and cosmetic applications.
